Our story

InQuo was created out of founder Nicola Moore-Miller’s passion for helping small and medium-sized law firms with their technology adoption while achieving outstanding financial performance and regulatory compliance.

At the time of InQuo’s inception, Nicola had reached a turning point in her life. With two young children, and after reassessing her ambitions and priorities, she decided to branch out from her technology supplier roots by getting more creative and launching her own business, simultaneously striking a better work-life balance.

The entrepreneurial idea was spawned by developing a deep understanding of the requirements of different law firms throughout her lengthy career, and helping legal practices to embrace technology, invest in their people, realign their data and fine tune their processes to create amazing outcomes.

The magic happened… InQuo was born. Services encompass project management, legal accounting consultancy, client trust accounting consultancy, Power BI consultancy and training.

Along the way

When InQuo was established, the shift to cloud technology was taking the legal sector by storm. Nicola was able to reach out to former connections who shared the same knowledge, experience and aspirations as herself. With so much in common, they also shared the same values. The recruitment of the InQuo team was underway with selection based on mutual respect and appreciation.

Our team is the reason for our success. We recruit carefully, celebrate achievements and revere every single staff member. This same team has worked tirelessly to grow our business in the intervening years, and the core InQuo values and mission remain, these being: inspiring law firms to adapt, harness technology and thrive; developing strong relationships with the businesses we work with; and operating with honesty, openness and integrity always.

Launching initially in the UK, we’ve since expanded into America, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. As well as delivering legal software implementation services throughout these jurisdictions, we’ve supported law firms in many other countries such as Israel, Spain, Portugal, Scotland and Jamaica, to name a few.

Here and now

InQuo as you know it

We employ and contract 30+ people globally, with team members based in England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, America, New Zealand and Australia. Our employees have the flexibility to work from our offices or from home, as our services can be performed entirely remotely.

Why InQuo?

A question we’re often asked is ‘where does the InQuo name come from?’ The words ‘in quo’ are derived from Latin and used in law circles to refer to a specific place, time and event - in other words, the facts and evidence surrounding a legal matter.

As InQuo works exclusively in the law sector, it’s a fitting name for our company, especially as our raison d'être is helping legal service providers to put solid foundations in place from which to operate their business compliantly and successfully.
